Reiki is a holistic healing technique where a practitioner channels energy through their hands to the recipient. It’s based on the idea that there is a “life force energy” flowing through us, and when this energy is low or blocked, we are more likely to feel stress, become sick, or feel imbalanced emotionally or spiritually.
During a session:
The recipient usually lies fully clothed on a massage table.
The practitioner places their hands lightly on or just above the body in various positions.
The energy is believed to flow from the practitioner to the client, promoting relaxation, stress reduction, and healing.
Reiki can also be done remotely, as it's not bound by physical proximity.
